Electric Pickling
| Pickling is the immersion
of metals in an acid solution, for the purpose of removing
surface fire scale |
| and oxides caused by heating,
annealing, casting, soldering, etc. Sulfuric acid is sometimes
used, but |
| substitutes are shown.
The pickle solution works better if heated to a temperature
of approximately |
| 125° F (52° C). |
